My hometown MMA hero Urijah Faber had his debut match with the UFC last night against Eddie Wineland. While Wineland held his own in the first round, Urijah Faber took it too him with a quick leg sweep, followed up by a viscous barrage of elbows in what was easily 3 minutes of ground ‘n pound with Urijah Faber on top. The third round was a joy to watch, Urijah Faber displayed his speed and was way to fast for Wineland. Feints followed up by powerful shots along with counters spelled the end of the night for Eddie Wineland. Uriah Fabe wins his UFC debut by decision as he displayed a wide variety of skills.
Big congrats to Jon ‘Bones’ Jones as he dominated Rua for 3 rounds before the ref stopped the fight awarding Jones with a TKO. Jon ‘Bones’ Jones is the new UFC World Light Weight Champion. Rua, one of MMA’s top fighters had absolutely no answer for Jones and his unmatched arsenal of offense.
